KH Recoded Gets ‘Age-Rated’ Release Date Soon?

Howdy peeps!

Gaming site Just Push Start has kindly provided information about Kingdom Hearts Recoded being rated by the ESRB for North America. The Entertainment Software Rating Board, based on the content of Recoded, have given the game a rating of Everyone 10+ (the same rating Birth By Sleep received) for “fantasy violence”.

You can read the full description of the rating below:

“This is an action role-playing game in which players control a character named Sora, who must navigate a series of virtual fantasy worlds to decipher a hidden message. Players mostly use magic spells and a large key-shaped sword to strike and slash at creatures and classic Disney villains (e.g., Maleficent, Hades, Jafar). Some levels allow players to engage in top-down turn-based battles or traverse through side-scrolling levels while firing magic spells at waves of flying enemy creatures. Characters react to damage by grunting/crying out in pain or bursting into small orbs.”

Kingdom Hearts Recoded is set to be released in Japan on October 7th. Usually when a game is rated by the ESRB, a release date is to follow soon. Could this mean that the North American version can see the light of day for a 2010 release, just in time for the holidays? Or could it be a 2011 release that has everyone speculating?
