New Nomura Interview in Famitsu!

In the most recent Famitsu magazine, there was a new Tetsuya Nomura interview in which he talks about the three games.

-Is there a connection in 358/2 Days between Birth by Sleep and Coded?

Nomura: At the moment Coded does not have any connections with 358/2 Days, but Birth by Sleep is deeply linked. Birth by Sleep has connections to all the games in the series.

-As for Coded, Chapter 2 will be distributing.

Nomura: From Chapter 2, the story becomes progressively longer. The story of Chapter 1 had the nuance of a tutorial, but from Chapter 2 item synthesizing increases, and after a stage is cleared, other side quests become available. Since linkage with Avatar Kingdom also becomes full-scale, please look forward to it.

-How is the development status of Birth by Sleep?

Nomura: Its doing alright. You could say its becoming a confident title. Ive kept you waiting, but I think some new information will be sent out during summer. Since the plan is to present a trailer showing off the games fighting spirit at Tokyo Game Show, look forward to it.

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days Ultimania Out Now & Details! - UPDATE -

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days Ultimania was released in Japan and thanks to FF7AC Reunion/Kouli there are some details regarding the game as well as dropping some hints about Kingdom Hearts 3!

- Birth By Sleep was suggested by Square Enix
- 358/2 Days was suggested by Nintendo
- Coded was suggested by Disney
- Nomura did the lines/script of Days, he tried and it got a lot more difficult, and at the end, he didn't want to do it any longer
- Tomoko created the name Xion
- Meaning of the title, 358 days spent by 2 people, and others up for players to imagine
- Nomura is busy with FFXIII Versus and Birth By Sleep, but is thinking about the next game's concept
- Next game is not necessarily KH3, but it won't be a side story but a main game
- Other than that, Nomura has been thinking about KH3.

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days Pre-Orders Now Available on Amazon!

Amazon has put up pre-order's for the English version of Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days! When you preorder the game, you'll receive a limited edtion art design cover sleeve. It is unknown at this time what the sleeve looks like but it's still a good deal. Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days will be released in North America on September 29, 2009.

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days Sales & Birth By Sleep Progress

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days has sold over 400,000 copies since it went on sale in Japan on May 30th, bringing in over 100,000 the week before. If you want to help increase the sales follow the link here and import the game via Play Asia!

Also, PSP Hyper mentioned in the latest Weekly Famitsu magazine, there was a mini-interview with Tetsuya Nomura and Tomohiro Hasegawa about the progress on Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep and Nomura responds that it is in the voice recording stage. It's not much information but its nice to know what stage the game is currently at.

Kingdom Hearts Coded Episode 1 Impressions

The Light in Chaos has posted their first impressions on the first episode of Kingdom Hearts Coded, the translations are done by gold_panner of Heartstation.

Once you begin, first a movie plays. The quality not being much different to usual, I accidentally yelled out ‘awesome’! And, Chip and Dale are cute

In order to analyse letters that have been written in Jiminy’s journal, the King and the others were turned into data to try and investigate. But, there’s a storm of bugs in there!

It is necessary to remove them from the inside, and so, they ask the Sora of the world inside the journal.

And so, first is the world you wake up in. You start together with the King, who has become a voice from the heavens.
